FIFA Club World Cup - Morocco 2013 Welcome Tour kicks off in Yokohama!

The Welcome Tour of the FIFA Club World Cup presented by TOYOTA will start on Sunday, October 20 in Yokohama, Japan, the city where the trophy was handed over to current champions Corinthians of Brazil in 2012.

Over the coming weeks, the trophy will travel around the world, a trip that will take in the cities of this year’s participants Auckland, Belo Horizonte, Monterrey and Munich, as well as those of the Asian and African champions, before the trophy reaches Casablanca in Morocco, representing the host nation, just a few days before the opening match in Agadir on December 11.

The centrepiece of the global Welcome Tour is the FIFA Club World Cup trophy, which will be displayed in the cities of sevenparticipating clubs and provide the public with a unique opportunity to experience the prized cup that will be awarded to the FIFA Club World Cup winners in Marrakech on December 21. The tour will also feature an exhibition of the Champions badge, which will be worn by the reigning champions for one year, and football fans will also have an opportunity to discover facts and figures from past competitions and to learn more about this unique intercontinental club tournament.
