To view the infrastructure and development towards the future of women football in India, FIFA women development officer, Ms. Monica Stabb, came to Kolkata yesterday. She was felicitated at the East Bengal ground by the IFA secretary Mr. Utpal Ganguly. IFA also set up an exhibition match to showcase some football talent among Indian girls.
While talking to a media person she told, “Still, a lot of things to be done…need some improvements also”. To see the national women football team, she’ll be visiting Bhubaneswar today. Yesterday, she also revealed that she has some idea to promote soccer among Indian girls, which she wants to discuss with the football federation. She will also talk with them about the possibility to make women football league, just like I-League.
