FIFA investigating reports of a 'spy drone' flown over France's training camp

France coach Didier Deschamps complained about the suspected drone to FIFA

France coach Didier Deschamps thinks that his team’s tactics might have been compromised by a suspected drone that was flown over their camp in Ribeirao Preto some time this week according to the Daily Mail.

The 45-year-old broke the news about FIFA’s investiagtion into the drone incident at a press conference on Saturday. The drone left the entire squad who were training at the Santa Cruz stadium puzzled.

The players stopped training for a while as soon as the suspected drone was spotted by Deschamps.

The 1998 World Cup winner reported the incident to FIFA before his country’s clash against Honduras and is afraid that his plans may have been discovered by the opposition.

“Apparently, drones are used more and more,” he said. “It's not up to me, FIFA handle this and have been carrying out an inquiry. We don't want any intrusion into our privacy but it's very hard to fight this these days.”

A Honduran journalist jumped to the defence of his country and said: “It wasn't us!”

“No?” replied Deschamps suspiciously. “I didn't do anything special anyway that day.”

FIFA may find it extremely difficult to get to the bottom of this bizarre incident.
