The FIFA President, Sepp Blatter, has once spoken out what many have been saying for years that he will suggest to the FIFA Executive Committee to consider to move the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar from the summer to the winter to avoid the heat in the Middle East.”There is still enough time,” Sepp Blatter said. “I will bring this up to the executive committee.”
The Qataris in late-2010 had won the bid to host a summer FIFA World Cup in 2022, but since the controversial decision there has been talk about shifting the tournament into the winter, when there is more suitable weather for football.

“If this World Cup is to become a party for the people, you can’t play football in the summer,” Blatter said yesterday. “You can cool down the stadiums but you can’t cool down the whole country (Qatar) and you can’t simply cool down the ambience of a World Cup. The players must be able to play in the best conditions to play a good World Cup.”
I have myself experienced the 2011 AFC Asian Cup in Qatar, a perfectly organised tournament and the desert winter which can get cool at night is perfect for top quality football, which a summer World Cup simply cannot deliver.
And Sepp Blatter had a change of heart following a medical report about the effects of the heat on players. “There has been a fresh medical investigation into what it would be like to play football there in the summer and we have to take into account the health, not of the spectators, but of the players,” he told Sky Sport Germany.
Further Blatter stated, who was speaking during a two-day conference on sports, media and economy set up by German great Franz Beckenbauer in Austria, “We have to protect our partners, our commercial partners, our TV partners. We have to be tough on this.”
Meanwhile speaking via videolink, the head of Qatar’s organising committee, Hassan Al-Thawadi, told the conference, “If it’s a wish of the football community to have the World Cup in winter, then we are open to that.”
