FIFA Rankings 2014: Spain still top, Brazil and Argentina move up

In the latest FIFA rankings there have been some considerable changes noted. While the defending champions Spain still enjoy the numero-uno status followed by Germany, World Cup hosts Brazil have leapfrogged Portugal to take the third spot.

Argentina and Switzerland climbed two places to finish at fifth and sixth respectively, while Uruguay and Columbia dropped to seventh and eighth spot. England made it to the top ten after Greece dropped two places to twelfth.

The United States are ranked at number 13, whereas Chile are ranked a spot below them. At number 22, Algeria is the top ranked African team and Australia at 62 will enter the World Cup as the least ranked outfit. Costa Rica jumped up 6 spots to be ranked 28th.

Meanwhile, the most notable jump in the rankings is Palestine who leapfrogged 71 positions to the 94th spot. India dropped seven places to finish to 154 in the rankings.
