The 2014 World Cup champions Germany have retained their spot at the top of the FIFA rankings for the month of September with 1765 points.
They were closely followed by two South American teams – losing finalists Argentina with 1631 points and Colombia with 1488 points. Colombia leapfrogged World Cup third place winners Netherlands who slipped to fourth with 1456 points.
Brazil also climbed one spot to sixth, behind Belgium and ahead of both Uruguay and Spain. France and Sswitzerland round off the top ten.
Other big teams outside the top 10 include Portugal (11th), Italy (13th) and England (18th).
Meanwhile, India slipped eight spots to 158 with 116 points.
