#2 Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid CF)
2017 has definitely been the best for Ronaldo who lead Madrid to a successive Champions League title.
The Portuguese superstar, claimed the UEFA player of the year award, alongside a second FIFA's The Best Award and a fifth Ballon d'Or award in what has been a magnificent year.
He also won 5 trophies with Real Madrid, a feat that has eluded the Spanish capital club under Zidane.
While Ronaldo's form in the La Liga has deteriorated, he remains prolific in the Champions League and he set a new record for the most goals in the Champions League in a calendar year with his 17 goals beating his previous record of 16 goals.
Ronaldo also went on to set a new record as the only player to score in all group matches in the Champions League, after finding the back of the net in all of Real Madrid's group matches as Los Merengues ended the group stage behind Tottenham.
