Levante need to be taken seriously

While Valencia toil, their neighbours, Levante, have been on a fairly remarkable, not to mention completely under-the-radar, run which has seen them lose just once since their opening day 7-0 mauling to Barcelona. That one other defeat was in stoppage time to Real Madrid.

On Thursday night they drew 0-0 at Real Betis, who are in the bottom three, to continue a run which has seen them lose once in 10 games.

In that run they have drawn five games, winning four, but they’ve also only conceded seven – the same amount they conceded in week one.

Joaquin Caparros will be quietly happy with his work, although he won’t relax given what happened to him at Mallorca last season.
