New sponsorship and sports rights division of media giants GroupM, SponsorCom has agreed a deal with Football Federation Australia (FFA) which will see the football association as the company’s first client.
As a part of the deal the company will take over the broadcast right negotiations, media rights , sponsorship strategy and contract evaluation of FFA.
“SponsorCom will help Australian sporting bodies navigate the often complex world of sponsorship, media rights and related areas through an intelligent advisory service,” said John Steedman, chairman of GroupM.
Chief executive of FFA, David Gallop said that the deal will help the sporting body to grow in the changing sporting landscape.
“The partnership between FFA and SponsorCom is an exciting opportunity for football to continue to grow in the competitive sporting landscape. We’ve worked with GroupM previously and are excited to be the inaugural partner of the SponsorCom business. As the world gets smaller, football gets bigger and this partnership will continue to connect the world game with the corporate community,” he said.
