Official home and away football jerseys for the 2015/16 season

Withthe 2015/16 football season soon dawning upon us, clubs are having pre-season tours, with their managers experimenting with formations and players as they gear up for the new season.Talking of gearing up, it is also that time of the year when clubs and kit sponsors join hands to launch their teams outfits for the new season amid much fanfare. While several clubs have already released their kit, some clubs are yet to do the same.Here, we take a look at the confirmed home and awayjerseysfor the 2015/16 season for some of the big-hitters in Europe -

#1 Real Madrid

Real Madrid’s home jersey features their classic all-white design with grey Adidas stripes on the sleeve. The buttoned collar of last season is replaced by a round-neck collar this time and the jersey has a folded sleeve, which is made up of a different material. The crest maintains the club’s traditional colours.

The away jersey is a big departure from the bright pink outfit of last season. The shirt is now grey-coloured with three neon green adidas stripes on the shoulders. The club badge is a combination of grey and white.

#2 Barcelona

The home kit features horizontal stripes for the first time

Treble-winners Barcelona will sport a completely new look from Nike for their home matches next season. For the very first time, the home jersey features horizontal red and blue stripes, unlike their traditional red and blue hoops style. The shirt also features a golden-yellow collar with four red stripes and a modern v-neck design.

The away kit is a homage to the Catalan colours

The away jersey is reminiscent of the 2013/14 season’s away outfit and is based on the Catalan colours. The shirt is coloured golden-yellow with four red stripes on the back of the shirt, running from the shoulders to the helm. The UNICEF logo appears on the back as well. The shirt has a golden-yellow crew neck collar with two stripes of red and blue at the back around the neck.

#3 Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich’s Home Kit is different to their previous season’s outfit

In what is a huge departure from their kit last season, Bundesliga winners Bayern Munich will sport a vibrant red home jersey for the upcoming season, going away from the red and blue stripes.

Apart from the solid red colour, there is also a darker variant of red which is seen on the three Adidas stripes on the collar, the sleeve cuffs and at the bottom of the shirt. A diamond pattern is observed in the dark-red coloured bottom of the shirt which has been inspired by the club logo and the Bavarian flag.

#4 Arsenal

Puma have made slight changes to Arsenal’s home jersey for the next season. The collar is button-styled now and is white in colour, with a golden line bordering the top of the collar. There is a very thin red line starting from the collar, which runs along the shoulder on the way to join the sleeve cuffs.

There is a golden line around the cuffs. The body and the sleeves of the home kit are red and white respectively, just like in the previous season.

#5 AC Milan

AC Milan have continued their tribute to the city of Milan

The Rossoneri’s home jersey for the new season is a return to their traditional 5-black-and-4-red striped design of the past. The red colour, is, however, a darker shade than in previous seasons and the three Adidas stripes are grey-coloured.

For the 2nd consecutive year, the club’s crest is replaced by the city’s coat of arms.

#6 AS Roma

AS Roma have paid tribute to the city of Rome with their new home kit

AS Roma’s home jersey is a classic red with a new crew neck collar having a small split at the front. The shoulder blades and sleeves are covered by a dark maroon colour in a single panel. A contrasting yellow colour is seen on the sleeve cuffs, the neckline, the Nike swoosh and on stripes running down the shirt’s flanks.

For the first time in Roma's history, the numbers printed on the back will contain a graphic print in a tribute to Rome's architectural hotspots and ancient streets.

#7 Inter Milan

Inter Milan’s home outfit for 2015/16 is inspired by their 1990-91 UEFA Cup winning kit

The Nerazzurri have reverted back to their iconic broad black and blue stripes, and the outfit is inspired by the one worn by the club in 1990-91, the season they won the UEFA Cup. The stripes are also present on the sleeves. The collar is a v-neck design in front, also featuring the black and blue strip.

Their kit definitely makes a statement, very similar to how they have approached their transfer business, as they have added Kondogbia, and have been linked with a couple of other big names.

#8 Paris Saint-Germain

PSG’s home kit for the 2015/16 is similar in basic design to their previous kit

French champions Paris Saint-Germain will be donning a navy blue jersey for the 2015/16 campaign, with a darker shade of blue on the collar, shoulders and sleeves. A dark-blue stripe also runs down each of the shirt’s flanks.

The middle of the jersey is adorned with a red stripe, which is bordered by thin white stripes. It starts from a rounded crew neck collar and ends at the base of the shirt. The Fly Emirates logo is placed at the centre of the home shirt.

#9 Liverpool

Liverpool’s 2015/16 kit will be their first with new manufacturers New Balance

The Reds’ home jersey comes in a classic all-red colour, with a chequered pattern in dark grey shade on the front top half of the shirt and vertical stripes on the bottom half. The polo-styled collar features white and yellow coloured lines.

The New Balance logo, the Liver Bird and the Standard Chartered logo are all white.

#10 Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham’s home jersey is a unique white design featuring a diagonal pinstripe pattern across the front of the shirt for the first time in their history. The six navy blue stripes are inspired by the design of the emblem. The v-neck collar and the sleeve cuffs also have a navy blue colour.

#11 Chelsea

Loyal to tradition, the new Chelsea home jersey is all blue with white and red trims at the collar, shorts, socks and sleeves. The blue pinstripes on the front are slightly darker than the previous version. The goalkeeping jersey is turquoise in colour and has blue stripes on the collar, shorts, socks and sleeves.

While the away jersey has a white base with a crew neck collar, its standout feature is the sleeve design. It incorporates a tricolored sleeve cuffs using the colors red, blue and white.

#12 Juventus

Juventus home kit — For the first time in Juventus history, three gold stars are displayed above the famous club crest

Much like Manchester United, Adidas will be Juventus’ new kit sponsors from the 2015/16 season until 2021. True to tradition, the new jersey displays the iconic vertical black and white stripes with a jagged design, six black and five white, but with a few variations. These stripes are thinner than the previous Nike jerseys.

The stripes on the shoulder are not outlined, but they intersect creating integration between the white and the black. The black hem at the bottom of the jersey displays a tonal graphic print featuring the J letter, the club symbol, and some details inspired by the unique exterior design of the Juventus Stadium.

The v-shaped neck is white and features the Adidas logo in black. White shorts and socks complete the new Adidas Juventus 2015-2016 home jersey.

Juventus Away kit — The Juventus away kit is pink, the colour worn by the club until 1903

From the club’s inception in 1897 until 1903, Juventus wore pink jerseys and black shorts and the new jersey is a tribute to the club's early years. The front contains a panel with two white stripes and a black box with the shirt sponsor's logo placed on top of it. The round neck collar, as well as the logo, are black.

#13 Atletico Madrid

The kit for the 2014/15 season is inspired by the jersey worn by Atletico when they won the Intercontinental Cup in 1974. “Campeon del Mundo” meaning World Champion 1975 – is inscribed in a pennant printed in the colours of the Spanish national flag to commemorate that win.

The home jersey is the traditional design with the broad red and white vertical stripes. The polo v-neck collar is blue in colour and the sleeves are also striped, unlike last season's plain red sleeves.

#14 Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund’s new home kit for 2015/16

The Borussia Dortmund kit this season sees a return to their traditional look and a huge variation to the diagonal stripes design they featured last season.

It is inspired by the 198384 Dortmund kit and is mainly yellow with black collar and a line of the same colour running down the sleeves. It also features equally spaced horizontal black pinstripes on the front.

The away jersey is the same design as worn last season and consists of a black base with yellow vertical stripes.

#15 Manchester United

Manchester United’s 2015/16 home kit, their first with Adidas in a long time

United and Adidas kick off a 10-year partnership with the new kits that was launched earlier today. They have been designed by lifelong United fan Inigo Turner and is a tribute to the 1980s jersey also designed by Adidas.

The home jersey is red with black and white applications. It features a v-neck collar and three-stripe design down the shoulder. The Adidas logo on the front is also white in colour. White shorts and black socks complete the new home kit.
