Greek Super League club Panathinaikos announced Tuesday that they had signed Swedish international Emir Bajrami from Dutch side FC Twente on a three-year contract.
Financial details of the deal were not disclosed by the club but local press reports said Bajrami, 25, would receive an annual salary of 250,000 euros ($327,000).
Kosovo-born Bajrami has made 18 appearances for Sweden, scoring two goals.
The attacking midfielder spent this past year on loan at Monaco from parent club Twente, whom he joined in 2010 from Swedish outfit Elfsborg.
Panathinaikos also announced the hiring of former Greek international and Newcastle United and Leicester City defender Nikos Dabizas as technical director.
Dabizas, 39, was a member of Greece’s Euro 2004 title-winning squad.
