#4 England National Team
Beckham had a long career for the national side that began in 1996. He became the captain of the national team in 2000 and led England in the 2002 and 2006 FIFA World Cup as well as Euro 2004. After stepping down in 2006, he continued being a regular fixture in the side until the 2010 FIFA World Cup which he missed due to an injury he picked up prior to it.
He amassed 115 caps for England during his time and is currently the third-highest capped player behind Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney and Peter Shilton. Further, he has been a cultural icon for England throughout the world and his patriotic vibes for his country is well-documented as well.
