Spanish architect Luis de Garrido intends on building a football-themed mansion for Lionel Messi and his family. The World Footballer of the Year and his partner, Antonella Roccuzzo, moved into an exclusive apartment in the Pedralbes neighbourhood of Catalonia.
The place seemed ideal until the idea of sharing a swimming pool with 16 other families cropped up and there’s no way Messi would do that.
According to cuidad.com.ar, Messi wishes to settle in Catalonia for the remainder of his career and beyond retirement, so he has commissioned famous Spanish architect Luis de Garrido to build him an ultra-modern house.
Garrido told an Argentinian TV channel that he wanted to create a “symbolic” home that “identifies with his Messi’s personality”.
And that meant only one thing – a football themed house which was environmentally sound.
