He may have lost his place to a younger Hugo Lloris, but the 41-year-old American is the straightforward choice for this spot. Since 2004-05 season, Friedel played every game in the Premier League till the 2011-12 season, playing for Blackburn Rovers, Aston Villa and more recently Totenham Hotspur.

Alessandro Nesta
Yes he is injury-prone and has lost his pace but he still is one of the strongest defenders in the game. His strength and tenacity are unbeatable. The 36-year-old currently plays in the MLS for Montreal Impact and doesn’t even have a transfer fee on him. But he showed his real potential during his AC Milan days.
Mario Yepes
Yepes was well known for his exploits during his PSG days where he was dubbed as ‘Super Mario’(not to be confused with Balotelli). He is also the captain of the Colombian national team and is the last member of the Colombian golden generation which won the 2001 Copa America. He currently does not play for any club and is a free agent.
Javier Zanetti
One of the most respected players in the world, Zanetti is one of the greatest defenders to ever grace the modern game. He has been the captain of Inter Milan for more than 12 years and is truly an integral part of the squad. Apart from being one of the most consistent players in the world, he also is equally versatile and can play anywhere in the defence.

David Beckham
Beckham has played for clubs like Manchester United,Real Madrid,LA Galaxy and more recently PSG. Apart from being a great player he also has his unique style of taking free kicks which is copied by fans and players alike. Becks announced his retirement from the game at the end of last season.

The playmaker,The one club man,the genuis; all these words describe the one and only,the legendary,Paul Scholes. You won’t find a better crosser of the ball like him. A tactical genius,he is a sure choice for this position.He came out of his retirement in the 2011-12 season and helped united win the title the following season after which he retired once again.
Clarence Seedorf(37 years old)
One of the best midfielders of the last decade,the Dutch might not be in his best form right now but he has shown us his prime during his AC Milan days. He still posses great technical ability and can also create great goal scoring opportunities.He is Currently playing for Botofago in the Brazilian league.
Central Attacking Midfielder
Frank Lampard(35 years old)
The perfect box-to-box midfielder you will ever see,Lampard is surely a legend for Chelsea and England. He Currently holds the vice-captain role at Chelsea and he is the youngest player on the list at 35 years of age. He is three time Chelsea player of the year and also the club’s highest goalscorer and is a fan favorite at the club.

Ryan Giggs(39 years old)
Next on the list is the man who never gets old,Ryan Giggs. The only player of the famous treble winning squad of 1999 to be still playing. Ryan is a player who is supremely consistent and still challenges to be in the first team despite being 39 years of age. He recently signed a new contract which keeps him at the club till the end of next season.

Francesco Totti(36 years old)
Totti has made over 500 appearances for AS Roma and is one of the greatest players to ever play for the club. Despite being 36 years of age he still possesses a natural scoring ability and is the second alltime highest goalscorer in the Serie A which is a clear reason to include him in the list.
Real Madrid’s and Europe’s alltime highest goalscorer,Raul is a definite choice for this position. He played for Real Madrid for 16 years and scored 323 goals for them before moving to Schalke 04. After his spell at the German club,they decided to retire the the no. 7 jersey in his honour. He currently plays for Qatari side Al Sadd.
