Former Chelsea striker Kerry Dixon was arrested on suspicion of dealing cocaine. Dixon is Chelsea’s third highest goalscorer and a regular on Chelsea TV, the club’s in-house station, as a pundit along with numerous other roles. However, he is set to be fired following his arrest. The 52 year old was taken in for questioning at a police station in Dunstable.
A police spokesperson said “Bedfordshire Police arrested a 52-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman from Dunstable on suspicion of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs. Both were released on police bail with no charge while further enquiries are made.”
Dixon is a popular figure at Stamford Bridge but has had a chequered past following his retirement. Both Chelsea and Dixon have refused to comment on the incident.
