Jean-Paul Bertrand, a former France international insisted Paris Saint-Germain had to get rid of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, calling the Swedish striker “stupid”, “big-headed” and a “flat-track bully” who needs “a good slap”.
Having joined PSG in the summer of 2012, Ibrahimovic has triggered the club to successive Ligue 1 titles with a record domestic treble on its way.
Jean-Paul Bertrand-Demanes, former France goalkeeper, however, holds him to be a reason of setback for the Parisians. The Ex-Nantes goalkeeper marked out on how Ibrahimovic, despite running riot in the domestic leagues has failed to deliver in the Champions League.
Bertrand-Demanes also pointed out on the lack of intelligence that the Swedish striker has that is required for playing which has seen the Uruguayan Edinson Cavani sacrifice his place in order to accommodate his colleague.
"I don't like Ibrahimovic. He is so big-headed. The problem is people make him think he's intelligent but he's as thick as two short planks.” Bertrand-Demanes told L'Equipe. "He's not a caricature but not far off; he's a flat-track bully. You can be big-headed when you're [Luis] Suarez or [Lionel] Messi and score goals against Bayern Munich or Real Madrid.”
"I'm sorry but, if you only score a hat-trick against Nancy... If PSG want to progress, they need to get rid of him. He is a problem for PSG. You can't ask him to accept playing up front alongside someone because he's too stupid," added the former French international.
The ex-Nantes #1 then took a dig at France international Florian Thauvin, lashing out at the attacking midfielder for the way in which he forced through a move from Lille to Marseille last summer by effectively going on strike.
"[Ibrahimovic] is like Thauvin," he added. "They both need a good slap,” said Bertrand-Demanes.
"When you see what Thauvin did to Lille to go to OM, you understand. These people have chickpeas for brains and treat others like idiots."
