According to German paper Bild, former Germany goalkeeper Tim Wiese has an offer from – wait for it – the WWE!
The former Werder Bremen and Hoffenheim goalkeeper has been a free agent since January this year, his contract terminated allegedly because his body was like that of a bodybuilder and not suited for professional football.
Since then, he has been steadily putting on weight and working out in the gym to enhance his muscles. And his hard work hasn’t gone unnoticed.
Apparently, Vince McMahon, the Chairman and CEO of the WWE, had officially contacted him in a bid to get him to join the WWE.
Weise: I’m not scared of the WWE
According to the report, Wiese said: “I got an official request from the WWE.
“It’s for a commitment from me to become a pro wrestler. I’ll listen to everything on it’s own merits,” he added.
But will he take up the offer? Will he make the drastic career change from football to professional wrestling?
“Why should I say no? Wrestling is very popular especially in the United States.
“I will discuss the offer in the next few weeks with my agent. I am not scared.”
