Champions league winner and former Liverpool winger Luis Garcia has decided to hang up his boots.
Garcia, whose last club was Pumas UNAM, stated :”There have been many years enjoying what fascinates me, and the opportunity to see fulfilled the dream I had when I was just a kid.”
“I’ve decided to retire as a professional footballer, thanking the interest of the teams that talked to me in recent weeks, but I think it’s time to end this important chapter in my life and move to the next page.”
Garcia, whose career highlight came on the night when Liverpool won the Champions League crown in May 2005, scored 30 times in 121 appearances for Liverpool and won 20 caps for Spain.
