Pogba looks unsettled in Manchester at the moment

After Paul Pogba completed his dream return back to Manchester United in the summer of 2016 for a world record fee, the French international stated that he had unfinished business at Old Trafford.

Three years on and that 'business' remains as unfinished as it was before he arrived, as the 26-year-old failed to fully convince the fans of his abilities, facing criticism over his inconsistencies, with his excessive social media presence also attracting disdain.

During the 2017/2018 season, the World Cup winner had an infamous fallout with erstwhile Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho, with the Portuguese benching him for a number of marquee fixtures.

Their animosity reached a head in the just concluded season, with the atmosphere between the pair so hostile that a feasible working condition was not possible unless one departed for the other.

As it turned out, that happened to be Mourinho, with the former Chelsea man being sacked in December 2018. His replacement promised to bring the best out of Pogba, and despite initially starring under Solskjaer, his form took a nosedive towards the end of the season as United capitulated into chaos and failed to make the top four.

Speculations have emerged that Pogba's super-agent Mino Raiola is plotting a transfer to the Bernabeu and if Zidane is to sanction the move, then both Frenchmen could well be working together next season.
