#1 Earning himself a spot in France's starting XI at Euro 2020

Dembele was a starter at all the World Cup 2018 games for France, till the group stages. Against Australia, the 3-man attack of Dembele-Griezmann-Mbappe backfired and since then, Giroud was brought into the squad and Dembele was dropped. They switched to a 4-3-2-1.
Being a Dembele fan, I wished he got more minutes in all games, with Mbappe coming out for him, but he was benched for whole games on almost every match day, after the group stages.
Mbappe is a great player and benching him for the RW position will be difficult. However, Dembele has to try and get the LW position. Deschamps needs to trust him for the LW position and for that, Dembele needs to improve his game immensely, especially his defending abilities.
Matuidi provides stability between attack and defence, whereas Dembele doesn't. Despite the fact that Dembele is more deadly on the flanks, Deschamps won't take any chances at Euro 2020, and will certainly look to add one more trophy to his name.
