Arsenal frontman Olivier Giroud found the back of the net twice as France drub Norway 4-0 in last night’s international friendly.
Paul Pogba scored the first goal in the 15th minute with a brilliant flick of the head inside the penalty box. The assist came from Mathieu Valbuena.
Olivier Giroud extended the lead in the 51st minute with a stunning half-volley from the edge of the box. Valbuena yet again created the chance with a fabulous assist.
Loic Remy came on as a substitute for Antoine Griezmann and immediately scored a goal in 67th minute after being assisted by Mathieu Debuchy.
Giroud increased his tally just after 2 minutes in the 69th minute after he converted a header from a pinpoint cross from Mathieu Valbuena.
France manager, Didier Deschamp would be extremely happy to see 2 of his strikers, Giroud and Remy scoring goals. Also, Valbuena’s performance in the midfield will give the former great relief as he assisted 3 out of 4 goals last night.
The result will be a great boost for France’s preparation for the World Cup. The Les Bleus are scheduled to play 2 more warm-up games against Paraguay and Jamaica on 1st and 8th June respectively, before they head to Brazil.
