France vs Belgium Head-to-Head stats and numbers you need to know before Match 42 of UEFA Euro 2024

France v Poland: Group D - UEFA EURO 2024
France will trade tackles with Belgium on Monday.

France and Belgium square off at the Markur Spiel-Arena in the UEFA Euro 2024 Round of 16 on Monday (July 1) in Dusseldorf. The French booked their spot in the knockouts, courtesy of their runners-up finish in Group D, having garnered five points in three games.

They concluded their group stage with a 1-1 draw against Poland. They went ahead through Kylian Mbappe's 56th-minute penalty, but Robert Lewandowski drew the game level, also from the spot, with 11 minutes remaining.

Belgium, meanwhile, finished their group-stage campaign with a goalless draw with Ukraine. The draw saw the Red Devils qualify in second spot in a spectacular Group E that saw all four sides finish with four points.

It's arguably the pick of the bunch in the Euro 2024 Round-of-16 ties, with the favourites and most talented squad facing the perennial underachievers.

France kept two clean sheets in the group stage but are yet to score from open play despite the plethora of attacking talent at their disposal.

Belgium also staggered into the knockouts and will have to vastly improve to finally make their mark on the international stage. The winner of this tie will face Portugal or Slovenia in the quarterfinal.
