With England in international action just days before the new season, Frank Lampard continues to creeps towards his 100^th England cap.

If he features tomorrow he will reach 98 caps and should he remain fit, he seems nailed on to reach 100 caps, an honour that shows how important he has been for England over three decades.

Importance of 100 England Caps

Only seven England players have reached 100 caps and it is crazy to think he will be the second Chelsea player in the last 12 months to reach the milestone.

Despite being voted England’s player of the year in the past, he, like current centurion Ashley Cole, has an uneasy relationship with England fans who often scapegoat him for England’s midfield pitfalls solidified for the Steven Gerrard media love in.

We would love for Frank to make his 100 and go on to represent England at the World Cup, and if he performs like he did last season and Mourinho keeps him fresh, he has to be on the plane to Brazil.
