Chelsea’s on-loan goalkeeper at Atletico Madrid has said that his future depends on what Jose Mourinho thinks of him. Courtois has been a huge asset in Atletico’s top notch performance this season with just one loss in loss in 10 games and himself has established himself as one of the best in Spain at just 21 years of age.

He explained that has more affection for Atetico and at the same time he belongs to Chelsea and his future depends on what they think. “We must wait, time will tell,” he told Sportium.

“This year I wanted to stay because I wasn’t sure if I would play at Chelsea.Besides, I was excited to play in the Champions League with Atletico and wanted to be a starter with a view towards the World Cup.

“But now everything depends on Chelsea. I had a conversation with (Jose) Mourinho and decided it was best to stay here.I belong to Chelsea, but Atletico is the most important club of my life. I’ve got titles and prestige in a short time,” said the Belgian.

He also spoke about his coach Diego Simeone and said, “We are working very hard for the team to maintain this level all season, but the road is very long,” he added.

“We want to get as far as possible and we are showing that we have the team for it.

“It has improved a lot since he arrived.He is one of the best in the world, he’s well motivated and gets the best out of everyone. He has instilled his winning mentality.”
