Liverpool v West Ham United - Premier League
Liverpool v West Ham United - Premier League

Liverpool continued their fine form by thrashing West Ham by four goals to one. Jurgen Klopp’s men were three goals up courtesy of goals from Emre Can, Mohamed Salah, and Roberto Firmino. Michail Antonio got one back for the Hammers in the 59th minute, but Sadio Mane made it four for the Reds in the 77th minute to end West Ham's faint hopes of mounting a comeback.

The scoreline is a repeat of the first leg where Liverpool thrashed the Hammers by four goals to one at the London Stadium.

Liverpool did not only score goals, they also played beautiful football and dominated the game. The win means that the Reds are unbeaten in their last five games in all competitions, a sign that the departure of Phillipe Coutinho to Barcelona is not affecting them.

Liverpool are currently third in the Premier League table with 57 points and have one foot in the quarter-final of the UEFA Champions League after thrashing Portuguese side FC Porto by five goals to nil in the first leg in Portugal.

The Reds' next game will be against Newcastle United on the 3rd of March.
