Italian football club Genoa has announced that striker Leonardo Pavoletti is expected to be out for around six weeks after suffering a grade two hamstring injury.
Pavoletti and Cristian Ansaldi went off with injuries in the goalless draw with Lazio on Sunday in the Serie A, and had medical tests on Monday.
"Genoa CFC announces that the tests at Istituto Il Baluardo showed that Leonardo Pavoletti has a second degree lesion to the biceps femoris in the right thigh, while Cristian Ansaldi has a grade 1 hamstring injury in his left thigh," a statement confirmed.
The club didn't mention the number of weeks the two players will be out.
