Gerard Pique fined for disobeying the police, apologises for his behaviour

FC Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has been fined by the police in Barcelona after he was involved in an altercation with the officials.

The incident took place On Monday at 2:30 am in the morning when the 27-year-old’s brother Marc parked his car in a bus lane for an estimated time of about 15 minutes according to reports from La Vanguardia newspaper.

Piqué disrespected the officers on duty and disobeyed one particular police officer for which he was fined. The police report explained that once the player's brother had been handed his fine, Gerard Piqué took it and threw it at the officers' feet.

The Catalan star then lost his cool and he reportedly said: "You are envious of me because I am famous. I'm going to speak with your bosses and get you reprimanded.

"You are fining me because you are on commission, because you have no money and you need to make commission. You are a disgrace."

After the hassle concluded, Pique went to a casino and tweeted about the incident, stating that the reports in the Spanish paper was exaggerated, but he is sorry for his behaviour.
