Germany vs Denmark Head-to-Head stats and numbers you need to know before Match 37 of UEFA Euro 2024

Germany v Scotland: Group A - UEFA EURO 2024
Germany face Denmark on Saturday.

Germany and Denmark square off at the Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund in game 37 of UEFA Euro 2024 as Round of 16 action commences on Saturday (June 29). The hosts rounded off their group-stage campaign with a 1-1 draw with Switzerland.

They went behind to Dan Ndoye's 28th-minute strike, but Niclas Fullkrug stepped off the bench to score the equaliser in injury time. The 31-year-old's strike helped Die Mannschaft guarantee top spot in Group A with seven points from three games.

Denmark, meanwhile, concluded their Group C campaign with a dour goalless draw with Serbia. The stalemate saw them finish second, behind England, with three points from as many games.

Germany showcased the range of their versatility in the group stage. They dismantled Scotland 5-1 in their tournament opener, saw off Hungary 2-0 with a routinely professional display before showing their grit to snatch a draw at the death against Switzerland.

The Danes, for their part, booked their spot in the knockouts in peculiar circumstances. They finished level on points with Slovenia, and on UEFA's six tiebreakers. The Red and Whites, though, progressed on a better disciplinary record, in part due to Slovenia assistant coach Novakovic Milivoje receiving a yellow card in their first game.

A place in the quarterfinal is on offer for the winner of this tie, and whoever advances will face Spain or knockout debutants Georgia in the last-eight.
