'Gerrard was the best I played with' says retiring Torres
Torres formed a devastating partnership with Gerrard during his three-and-a-half years with the club that saw him score 81 goals in 142 appearances for the Anfield side.
The former Spanish international was speaking at a news conference in Japan, and will retire in two months after an 18-year professional career.
He also played for his boyhood side Atletico Madrid, Chelsea, AC Milan and his current club Sagan Tosu in the Japan top division.
