Leon goalkeeper William Yarbrough is going to have many sleepless nights.
In a match against América in Mexico’s Liga MX, a free kick was directed straight at goal and was on target. At first it looked like a harmless show floated in with Yarbrough under no pressure from the opposition.
And then his nightmare began.
He caught the ball in the air, but was back-pedaling in the process and ended upcoming to a halt inside the goal. Even though he tried to keep the ball out, it was too late and it took him two full seconds to think about throwing it back out.
Unlucky? We’ll go with poor judgement. No need for Goal Line Technology here.
