Gokulam Kerala FC to honour former Indian football stars

Away
Away match of Gokulam Kerala FC against Mohun Bagan where they won 2-1

The Malabar side has impressed every Indian football fan with their performance in their first-ever appearance in the I-league, even though their standing in the table, position 7 doesn't say it all. They are looking forward to closing their season with an incredible act on the 6th of March. The team along with Battalia, GKFC's fans club is all set to make their last match of the season, which is also a home match, memorable to everyone.

GKFC will be facing the strong Mohun Bagan. But the away side will be much more tensed as they had lost in the reverse fixture 1-2.

The plan is to honour football players from the state of Kerala, who have played for Indian national team at the EMS Corporation Stadium in Calicut by Gokulam FC and Battalia which will be attended by almost 25 players. The chief guest will be the former Indian football legend, IM Vijayan who is also from the state.

The young generation of Indian football, who are great fans of Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar, etc, should also be acknowledged about the Indian legends. Sadly, many are ignored and not much known.

But here comes a team which truly understands what football is, and they have conquered hearts with their performances. With this deed, they will be loved much more by the football fans as they give us a moment to make the legends feel recognized and valuable to the nation.

Let's hope this team will conquer trophies as well. The next season onward, the Malabarians will be having a team in all the categories of I-league (Senior Men's team, Senior Women's team, U-18 team, U-15 team, U-13 team). This is a very impressive development for the debutante team as they will be looking to make a big impact in Indian Football soon.
