Federico Fazio, the Argentine centre-half who plays for Sevilla, is a summer transfer target for top Italian and English clubs, according to his agent.
Fazio, 26, will be out of contract next summer. He has been linked with a move to Arsenal or Liverpool.
His agent, Ariel Kiperszmid, however says the English clubs could face stiff competition from four Serie A suitors for the signature of the 6ft 5in Argentine defender.
Kiperszmid also claimed Sevilla rejected offers coming in from German and Russian clubs for Fazio earlier during the January transfer window and expects more offers to come in over the course of the summer transfer window.
“In January the club rejected offers from Germany and Russia but in the summer they could be looking at making millions of euros,” Kiperszmid told tuttomercatoweb.
“There are four Italian teams interested in him and Serie A could be a good destination for him, but there are also admirers in England.
“Fede could play for one of Europe’s top teams.”
“His contract runs out in 2014 and we have spoken about extending it with Sevilla,” added his agent.
“However, his future is probably away from Sevilla because he wants to experience something different.”
