Probable Lineups
Team News
Granada
- Lucas Alcaraz is once again expected to stick with the same front three that have played in recent matches.
- Alcaraz will be relieved to have minimal injury doubts hanging over Dani Benitez and Diego Mainz, after being forced to deal with so many injured players this season.
- Manuel Iturra is suspended following his red card at Barcelona.
Sevilla
- Unai Emery will be delighted to have Stephane M’Bia and Frederico Fazio back in the side. The two returned from their respective injuries last weekend and their presence helped make the difference as Sevilla went on overcome Betis.
- Marko Marin edges ever closer to a return to full fitness, as does Denis Cheryshev.
Match Facts
- There have been over 2.5 goals scored in 6 of Sevilla’s last 7 games in La Liga.
- Sevilla have scored at least 2 goals in 6 of their last 7 matches in La Liga.
Prediction
- Despite the heavy defeat, Granada will not be too put off by the welcome of Sevilla on the back of the trip to Barcelona last weekend, where they were not expected to come away with anything. Lucas Alcaraz’s players are probably still happy with their work so far this season that has them sitting in the relatively comfortable and safe position.
- After suffering back-to-back defeats in late October and early November, Sevilla have since returned to form with a number of fine victories. Ivan Rakitic, as ever, has been key to their turnaround, while Stephane M’Bia’s return to the side following suspension, international duty and injury has been a major boost.
- Sevilla have not travelled well this season, picking up just one win on the road. Against a Granada side difficult to break down at home, Unai Emery’s men could find this fixture tougher than they expected.
Granada 1 - 1 Sevilla
