The action continues in round 10 of the Swedish Allsvenskan as Hacken play host to Malmo at Bravida Arena on Monday. Having failed to win the last five meetings between the sides, Henrik Rydstrom’s men will head into the game looking to get one over the hosts and open up an eight-point lead at the top of the table.
Hacken were condemned to their first Allsvenskan away defeat of the season on Wednesday when they fell to a 3-0 loss to Halmstad at the Idrottsplats Örjans Vall.
Prior to that, Pal Arne Johansen’s side were on a run of two back-to-back victories, seeing off Sirius and Kalmar while scoring six goals and conceding once in that time.
With 16 points from nine matches, Hacken are currently fourth in the league standings but could move into second place with all three points on Monday.
Elsewhere, Malmo maintained their 100% home record in the league last time out when they picked up a hard-fought 1-0 victory over GAIS Goteborg.
Rydstrom’s men have now won all but one of their last 12 matches across all competitions, with a 3-1 loss against Elfsborg on May 5 being the exception.
With 24 points from nine matches, Malmo currently lead the way at the top of the Allsvenskan table with a five-point lead over second-placed Djurgarden.
