Harry Redknapp slams QPR's big-earners

Aston Villa v Queens Park Rangers - Premier League

QPR manager Harry Redknapp slammed his team’s big earners after their 2-0 loss to Everton. He questioned their talent and attitude, and was furious with the way his team has performed in the league. They are currently placed in the bottom two and are in the relegation zone.

After the 17th defeat of their wretched campaign, the inept, undisciplined manner of the team was on show and it was cause for more frustration for Redknapp.

“If they want to play in the Premier League, they should have f*****g played better! You say (they are) talented players but are they that talented?,” said Redknapp.

“I don’t know really. You have some experienced players but what you need is a good group of characters, a good group of people together and you have not got any problems when you have that.”

Staring at a certain threat of relegation, Harry also denied any departures in the summer from his current squad. When asked about it,

‘They won’t go,’ he said bluntly.

“How are you going to get rid of them? That’s your biggest problem. They all have contracts. I wish you were right, and you could say… (the players would leave) but it isn’t going to happen here.”

“How are they going to go? Who is going to pay them what they are earning here? It is going to be very hard to shift them. It is not a case of players wanting to leave suddenly.”
