DM: N'Golo Kante
The Premier League is blessed to have a fantastic player in the form of N'Golo Kante. The Frenchman has had quite the career ever since moving to England to play for Leicester City in 2015.
He was one of the key players for the Foxes in helping them register a historic league victory in the 2015-16 season. Kante was named in 2015-16's 'PFA Team of the Year' due to his fine performances on the pitch.
Using his intense work rate, fine tackling and superb positioning, the French midfielder has provided a lot of cushion to his team's backline. Kante's game has never really been about goals or assists, but solely about helping his teammates with his box-to-box abilities.
He more than often finds himself in a defensive role in midfield but can comfortably play as a central midfielder. Kante signed for Chelsea in the 2016-17 season and has won the Premier League and Champions League with them to date.
With the Blues, Kante currently earns £290,000 per week and is contracted until June 2023. The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner completely deserves all the accolades and money he's earned to date.
CM: Kevin de Bruyne
When we speak about the best midfielders in the Premier League, there is no chance that we can leave Kevin de Bruyne out. The Belgian playmaker has been fantastic in the league ever since he signed for Manchester City in the summer of 2015.
With his incisive passing, fabulous technique and superb creative abilities, De Bruyne has been a massive asset for the Citizens. He has already won the Premier League thrice with City in the last four seasons and is on course to win his fourth. So far, the Belgium superstar has scored 49 goals and registered 80 assists in 198 Premier League appearances.
De Bruyne was the league's top assist-maker in the 2016-17, 2017-18 and 2019-20 seasons. Manager Pep Guardiola heavily relies on the former Chelsea midfielder to create chances on the pitch. It is only unfortunate that the duo haven't been able to win the Champions League working together.
Currently, De Bruyne earns £400,000 per week and is contracted until June 2025. Notably, he had negotiated his previous contract without an agent and did so only using data analysts. With his form and capabilities, it is only right that the Belgian is well paid for his services.
