Didier Drogba inspired Chelsea to a 3-0 win over Tottenham in the absence of suspended striker Diego Costa.
Tottenham arrived at Stamford Bridge having never won at Stamford Bridge in the league since a Gary Linekar inspired 2-1 victory in February 1990.
Before the match began, there was a minute’s applause in honour of former Chelsea manager John Neal who passed away on 23rd November this year.
Tottenham missed two early chances through Harry Kane, whose header crashed against the post and then he dragged a shot wide off the post. Spurs were made to pay soon by Eden Hazard in the 19th minute and were soon two goals down after Drogba scored three minutes later.
In the second half, Loic Remy rounded off the scoring and ensured three points for the Blues by scoring his second goal of the season.

The Belgian exchanged a quick 1-2 with Didier Drogba to go clear on goal. His left-footed shot beat Hugo Lloris on his near post.

Didier Drogba was assisted by Oscar and he calmly hit the back of the net to increase Chelsea’s lead. His right-footed shot from the centre of the box beat Hugo Lloris after he was sent through on goal by Oscar’s through ball.

Loic Remy scored the third goal of the game when he used his physicality well and placed a right-footed shot to the bottom right corner.
