Chelsea managed to scrape through with a 1-0 win away at Lisbon in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Nemanja Matic scored the winner with a header in the first half. Although the London side had a number of chances to score goals, Lisbon goalkeeper Rui Patricio kept the Blues at bay with six crucial saves.
But a 1-0 scoreline was enough to take three points in a ground that has been difficult for visiting teams with the home side unbeaten in 16 matches in European competition.
Matic scored from a set piece that was delivered into the box by Cesc Fabregas, who grabbed the assist.
