Premier League champions Manchester City thrashed AC Milan 5-1 in the International Champions Cup in Pittsburgh.
Stevan Jovetic scored a brace with a goal in each half. Scott Sinclair, Jesus Navas and Kelechi Ihenacho also scored for City.
Manuel Pellegrini said: "Stevan I think that he had very bad luck last year. He had a lot of injuries for the whole year. For a player, it's very difficult to come and really have an important performance when he cannot play three games in a row.”
"I think that now that he is continuing every day, he will demonstrate why he is here at Manchester City. I think he's a very good player."
Milan scored a consolation goal through captain Sulley Muntari.
The Italian club actually had more shots on goal but both sides had six shots on target.
