Real Madrid continued their winning form with yet another convincing victory over Spanish third division side UE Cornella in a Copa del Rey fourth round encounter as James Rodriguez, Jese Rodriguez and Isco were all on target for the the La Liga leaders. Real Madrid’s home-grown player Jese Rodriguez made a comeback to the team after he was out injured for nine months.
Madrid were already in a comfortable position with a 1-4 win from the first leg, but a brace from summer signing James Rodriguez in the first half further extended their lead over the Catalan side. The Colombian midfielder also set-up the second goal for Isco.
Coming into the second half, a blunder from Borja Lopez saw him putting the ball into his own net. It was Jese who put the final nail on the coffin as he found the net following a pass inside the box from Isco.
