Bundesliga side Hanover 96 are preparing for next season with Mame Diouf, after receiving no offers for the Senegal striker.
“There have been no enquiries. We are optimistic that we can extend his contract before the start of the new season,” Hanover president Martin Kind told website Sport1.
The 25-year-old Diouf scored 17 goals in 37 appearances for Hanover last season, helping his team to a ninth-placed finish last season.
He is under contract until June next year but has so far stalled over a possible extension, having been linked to Champions League finalists Borussia Dortmund.
Kind added that Hanover have “completed” next season’s recruitment drive with midfielders Leonardo Bittencourt from Dortmund, Edgar Prib from relegated Greuther Fuerth and Senegal defender Salif Sane from AS Nancy-Lorraine.
