Copa America 2024 will officially start from June 21 with defending champions Argentina taking on Canada. The 48th edition of the tournament will take place in the United States with 16 teams fighting for bragging rights of being declared as the champion of the world’s oldest national team tournament.
Sides like Argentina, Brazil, and Uruguay will once again be favorites to win the tournament while Chile, the United States, and Columbia will be the major darkhorses and hopeful to cause a massive upset in the tournament.
However, the teams will also get a handsome cash reward besides the bragging rights. Although CONMEBOL has had it’s own issues with money over the years, the organization has splurged $72 million for this edition of Copa America.

How much money will teams get for ending at different levels of Copa America 2024?
Each team will get $2 million for just participating in the tournament. As they progress into the knockout stages and keep moving up the ladder, the cash prizes will get even bigger. The semi-finals are where the real money game will begin in Copa America.
The losing semi-finalists will play the third place game where the winning and the losing teams will get $5 million and $4 million, respectively. In the finals, the losing team will get $7 million while the winning side will get more than that of the touble with a whopping $ 16 million.
The winning money will be allocated to the players, coaches, management stuffs and the country’s football federation.
