The EFL Championship returns with a fresh set of fixtures as Hull City and Burnley lock horns at the MKM Stadium on Wednesday. The two sides head into the midweek clash off contrasting results.
Hull were left empty handed for the second straight league game, as they fell to a 1-0 home defeat to Sunderland at the weekend, courtesy of a second-half strike from Wilson Isidor.
Before that, the Tigers saw their run of three consecutive Championship wins come to an end earlier this month when they were thrashed 4-0 by Norwich City at Carrow Road.
With 12 points from 10 matches, Hull are 13th in the standings, level on points with Swansea City and Preston North End.
Burnley, meanwhile, continued their surge to the top of the table with a 2-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday at the Hillsborough Stadium on Saturday.
Scott Parker’s men have gone seven games without defeat, winning four, since losing back-to-back matches to Sunderland and Wolverhampton Wanderers in August.
Burnley have 21 points from 10 mtaches to sit second in the Championship, one point behind Sunderland.
