East Bengal

Luis Barreto (6.5/10): Barreto made some crucial saves during the game which ensured East Bengal the win. The shot-stopper's positioning was top notch today, and he handled aerial balls with confidence something which has been bugging the keeper from Goa for the past few games.
Salam Ranjan (5.5/10): Salam Ranjan is one of the buys of the season for East Bengal but his performance was below par today, as he failed to impress with anticipation and positioning today.
Arnab Mondal (6/10): Arnab hasn’t been in the best of forms this season and today also he wasn’t up to his best. He was kept on his toes by the likes of Soosai Raj and Jean.
Eduardo Ferreira (6.5/10):Eduardo was the better of the East Bengal defenders as he marshalled the defence with a commanding presence. He also acted as a leader and was crucial to see out the game for East Bengal.
Lalram Chullova (6.5/10): Chullova had a good game of sorts as he kept the Chennai wingers at bay for most parts of the game. He also tried to venture forward whenever he could, but he needs to work on his link up play with his teammates.
Prakash Sarkar (6/10): The young midfielder finally started the game in his natural position. He did try hard to win a lot of balls in the midfield and cut down Chennai's attacks but wasn’t fully successful and also gave up possession in midfield a bit too easily during his time on the pitch.
Mahmoud Al Amna (8/10): Probably the man of the match in every sense, he had a hand in both the goals East Bengal scored and he also set up numerous chances for the likes of Wills Plaza and Danmawia. He was brilliant in possession and his distribution was excellent on the night.
Katsumi Yusa (7.5/10): Scored the first goal for East Bengal, Yusa had a good game as he gave a torrid time to the Chennai defence with his runs down the flanks. Yusa also did a lot of tracking back and helped out his team in defence.
Laldanmawia Ralte (6/10): Danmawia missed a sitter in the second half which could have buried the game beyond any doubt, He also couldn’t get the desired quality into the box and looked a shade of his usual self at times.
Charles De Souza (6.5/10): Even though Charles opened his scoring for East Bengal and that too scored against his former team, the Brazilian did not have the best of games, as he was seldom seen with the ball and his link up with Plaza and Amna looked below par.
Wills Plaza (5.5/10): Plaza Oh Plaza, well what can be said about him, he blows hot and cold like a pendulum swings. Plaza after having a good game against Churchill had another forgetful encounter against Chennai where he missed some good chances to score.
