#1 Striker - Willis Plaza (Churchill Brothers SC)

A year ago, if you had the notion that Willis Plaza could become the top goalscorer of the 2018-19 I-League, you would have been laughed upon. The Trinidad and Tobago player had an abysmal outing with East Bengal and only scored 2 goals.

As a result, he was released in January itself and penned a deal with Churchill Brothers. He failed to find the back of the net for them for the remainder of the league.

But, this year, he has re-invented himself. 6 goals in 6 matches, including a hat-trick against Shillong Lajong, has made Willis Plaza the top goalscorer of the I-League so far. His recent form has been prolific as he smashed the ball past the net in each of their last three games.

Of course, he could have scored more if he went for precision rather than power in his shots. But, until then, he is our main striker in the combined XI of the I-League.
