Mohun Bagan are on the verge of signing striker Henry Kisseka from Gokulam Kerala FC, after the Ugandan impressed in the recently concluded I-League campaign.
In case you didn't know...
Henry Kisseka began his youth footballing career at SC Villa, the most successful club in the Ugandan Premier League. He moved to URA Kampala making his senior debut in the league in 2008 and continued until 2011.
Henry moved abroad to Vietnam, playing for V-League 1 club Hoa Phat Ha Noi and featured for six other clubs in the Vietnamese league before coming to India to play for Gokulam Kerala FC.
The heart of the matter
The Ugandan forward impressed with his performances in the recently concluded season of the I-League as Gokulam Kerala FC proved to be giant killers, defeating all the top clubs.
Henry Kisseka played just seven matches for the Kozhikode-based club but scored four goals which include two against Mohun Bagan and one in their win over eventual champions Minerva Punjab FC.
Having impressed the Green and Maroons boss Shankarlal Chakraborty, Kisekka has triggered interest from Bagan, Sportskeeda has learnt.
Henry cuts a strong figure in the attack with his six-foot frame and uses his physicality well to his advantage, displaying good aerial prowess as well in addition to his athleticism. Henry Kisseka has been capped four times by the Ugandan international team and has two goals to his credit.
What's next?
Despite this move, Henry Kisseka is set to feature for Gokulam Kerala in the Super Cup as they will face Bengaluru FC on 1 April 2018.

Henry Kisseka put on a solid showing for Gokulam Kerala FC despite playing less than half of the matches and will be a worthy addition to the Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan, as they rebuild their attack for the next season.
