I-League: Battle of the Reds in Pune tomorrow evening

Pune FC host defending champions Churchill Brothers SC in an I-League Round 5 match at the Balewadi Sports Complex on Saturday evening with the two sides coming into the game with totally different starts into the campaign.

Pune FC have gathered seven points from three matches, while a winless Churchill Brothers has only two points from four games to their name.

While at the Red Lizards under new coach Mike Snoei things are going per plan, at the Red Machines the management is trying their best to bring back the team to winning ways after the resignation of technical director Sukhwinder Singh and their hope is that the Balewadi Sports Complex might script the start of a revival.

Forwards Henry Arnaud Antchouet Rebienot and T. Bineesh Balan have not travelled with the team to Pune due to a thigh injury and viral fever respectively. However Syrian striker Ahmad Al Kaddour has recovered from a slight hamstring injury and makes it into the 18 member squad.

Churchill Brothers skipper Dharmaraj Ravanan said, “We will do our best to get a good result vs Pune FC who have a good squad this year.”
