All meant in good humor.

(out) Mahindra United’s disclosure nearly a month ago that they are pulling out of India’s top flight football league, even when they are one of the top clubs, was not only shocking but heartbreaking. It reflects the lack of earning opportunities in the sport.

Mr. Anand Mahindra said that they will now refocus on building the sport at the grassroots and community level. Let’s hope they do.

(out) The I-league that was due to expand to 14 teams the next season have postponed the idea. As a result the Delhi are going to miss out on promotion.

(in) The team which is set to replace mufc in the coming i-league season is: india under-19, to be christened as Aiff XI. The aiff has already finalized a list of 24 juniors who will represent the side. Supposedly, it was national coach Bob Houghton’s idea. He has also recommended english side QPR’s ex-manager Desmond Bulpin, who is currently Philippines national side coach, to guide AIFF XI. Mr Houghton, what an idea sirji!
