Liverpool forward Iago Aspas says that it is not ‘madness’ to believe that Liverpool can challenge for the title this season, according to the Mirror.
Liverpool have won their first three matches of the season for the first time in 19 years – all won by a 1-0 scoreline thanks to Daniel Sturridge goals. Aspas, who joined Liverpool from Celta de Vigo in £7.7 million deal said:
“We have an excellent attack. With Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez we are able to break any defence.
“It is certainly not madness to aspire to winning the title this season.”
Iago Aspas, who will be looking to start again for Liverpool as they head to Swansea on Monday evening, admits he is yet to adapt to the Merseyside sense of fashion, but is enjoying his time at the club:
“I am still at the stage where I am adapting in Liverpool to the clothes and the food,” said the 26-year-old.
“But the people here relate to football and music, and for me it is a pleasure to live this experience.
“I always dreamed of playing for a big club, and Liverpool are known all over the world.”
