The attacking duo of Kevin Gameiro and Luciano Vietto were poor in-front of goal here.

Thomas Partey's excellent through ball was squandered by Gameiro early on, which set the tone for Atletico's struggles in the final third. Vietto was denied an equaliser on the stroke of half-time, watching his effort cleared off the line after 40 minutes.

Then, Vietto again could not find the back of the net after a brilliant delivery into his path by fullback Juanfran. It's clear that it was an attacking display to forget for Simeone's two forwards on this occasion.
